Old question: Do the traditional media will be dislodged by new media?

I still listen to the radio almost every day... Why? Because this is how old I am! haha...Actually I just think it's an interesting and convenient way to be informed something new. When I was in China, everyday I got up,  the first thing I did was to turn on my radio.I know people have more modern ways to get information or to entertain. No matter how technology has developed, the important thing which may have influences on people's preference is "effectiveness". What do you really want to get by using different ways? I want to save time and hear something interesting when I make coffee in the morning, so I choose this easy way.About the question I asked in the title, I have no idea...I hope the answer could be...NO...

  1. But even radio is moving with the times: I also listen to the radio a lot, but tend to use a catch-up service. I regularly download and listen to shows on my ipod when I'm travelling to work. These tend to be music shows, but these contain a lot of listener input too.

It can sometimes be a weird and disorientating experience. Just imagine: at Christmas I was listening to a show which I had downloaded over 1 year ago. There I was in Thailand and suddenly I heard a news report (the show is 3 hours long and there are regular news bulletins) about a heat wave in Britain and that UK had won another gold medal in the cycling at the Olympics.

I don't know if this experience can be called radio or not....

    1. I use by laptop as a muilti-media to watch programmes and to listen to music or news. It likes humanbeing would has ability to fly (with wings on the back like birds) in the future and at that time, can we still be humanbeing? If kinds of media like abilities, they would be dislodged when we no longer need them anymore.
